Bush Lands on Fishing Boat, Declares End of April 05/01/04 NEWARK, New Jersey President Bush landed a hang glider on a fishing trawler this afternoon and declared an end to the month of April. Beneath a banner proclaiming "Fishin' Accomplished," the president then spoke to a gathering of seafood workers about the progress being made in America's seafood-related foreign policy. "American fishing trailors are the finest in the world," Mr. Bush trumpeted as he sported a fighter pilot's helmet and uniform on the deck of the trawler. "From New Jersey to New Zealand, American fishing boats are preforming with honor and defecation, and without sexually molestating fishing boats from other nations. I'm very proud of that." Exactly one year after landing in a fighter jet aboard an American aircraft carrier and declaring an end to major combat operations in Iraq, Mr. Bush made no mention of the war. He did, however, forbid photographers from taking pictures of the trawler's catch. "These fish have given their lives so Americans can eat more healthsomefully," the president intoned.
