I know about the contest you are talking about, but I am pretty sure either MoveOn or another 527 used a Hitler reference. I will do a search. You make it sound like nobody can know anything. That is a nylistic viewpoint. Of course the evidence can be weighed and it doesn't require reading every since document from the DOD. It is merely a matter of looking at the proffered evidence and seeing which ones conflict and which don't. I am talking about these specific incidents. Not everything in general. If you are talking only about these incidents as well, from what I have seen, I do not think Bush could say truthfully that the ads are lies. From what I have seen, they could be true.
