Dabum, in Vietnam there were very few "records." I tried once to find some information on where my company had fought in Vietnam. I knew the zones but not the coordinates. What I found was that there weren't even good records of where my BATTALION had been, much less my company. There were very few "after action" reports. It's as if it never even happened.

The "records" just won't do it. What there is might show he caught the clap or something, but it won't clear up much else. I know that on two of my "wounds," the treatment was from our medic in the field and I can assure you that he wasn't keeping medical records in the months-long time periods we spent humping the jungle.

I'm sorry that I didn't realize that most people don't understand that there were no "records" in the sense that most of us might expect.
