It's rather astonishing for anyone to suggest that Kerry
did two full tours.

One of the big issues under discussion has been
the fact that he got an early out precisely
because of the three Purple Hearts.

One would have to be pretty disconnected not to realize
that this meant that his second tour was cut short. And, if I'm
not mistaken,that second tour was the only tour that could be considered "combat duty."
