It's George W. Bush. He has consistently said that Kerry served honorably.

I don't care for Kerry but personally I would prefer to analyze the past as an historian, which means getting all points of view, and that is something which cannot be done on the fly.

Decades after the fact, centuries after the fact, reasonable men will still differ about the facts. This is the truth about history.

I wish that today we focussed on issues more pressing.

I would love it if we could honestly talk about events of the day, such as the war on terrorism, and how best to fight it. I would love it if Bush and Kerry would meet, face to face, and discuss this, like elders speaking in a council, while the rest of us listened to what they had to say, making up our own minds about which one made the most sense.

I am severely disappointed that neither of them seems willing to do this.

Nevertheless, Bush is the status quo. Kerry is the challenger. So, Kerry must convince me of two things, that the status quo is no good, and that he can do better.

I have yet to hear from Kerry how he can do better.
