Thats a load of bull as a stand alone argument. The other side of that is that the left shortened the endless war and saved countless lives. I buy into a middle position but really dont want to go there in this venue. Folks here are far too emotional to discuss vietnam in historical perspective. This would be like having a sane post civil war debate in 1875. After kerry/mccain made peace it would be nice if the detente between pro-war/anti-war, soldiers/resisters etc could have continued but now its too hot. Mike
