Hey Mike,
You would have made a good commie. You have learned about the big lie technique real well. Below is what i said, not what you cut and pasted without the normal..... to show omissions. Mike

"I dont dismiss all of kerrys story before congress as falsehoods. Vietnam was an horrific war. We know our enemies committed atrociites. It is naive to think that there were not more mai lais type situations, albeit on a smaller level.

Interesting whay you folks omit. I didnt make any blanket attack. I didnt quote numbers. Just a guess that some bad stuff went on. And then there was napalm and carpet bombing which we do not use anymore but was OK to use back then. But i didnt mention that at all.

"admitted draft dodger status"

I never was confronted with the draft. I was in school and then taught and then when i was subject to the draft i got a high lottery number. I feel guilt that others went in my place so somewhere someone may have died in my place if i had either volunteered or did not secure a deferment. My guilt has nothing to do with me thinking i did something wrong. I am not a warrior by nature so it is not something i would run and do unless i felt a threat to my country/family etc. Feel that way about islamists--too old to do something about that however.
