Right now on the radio, he has Paul Galanti --here are some of my notes. Former Navy Officer and Pilot, shot down in 1966, POW in Vietnam for 6 years, 8 months, and tortured....lived for a year in solitary confinement 7x7 space. In 1971, still in prison, after March 1968 when peace talks started...VC kept telling the US prisoners they weren't getting out, and would be tried for war crimes. Then on Voice of Vietnam, Hanoi Hanna, said there was "bad news"... She talked about "war criminals and atrocities, then they heard an "American Naval Officer, saying the things (we heard on the Senate speech)...."He was giving the communists false hope." Mr. Galanti said the VC were "torturing them to get them to say what they heard 'the American Naval Officer' (Kerry) say on the radio" !!!!!!!!!!! He didn't know it was Kerry then...just remembered the voice, and the way he pronounced Genghis Khan..... Then when he heard recently the voice of Kerry giving the Senate 1971 speech, he realized who it was that was the American they heard while POW's--it was John Kerry. John McCain had been in the same camp where he was. They were all moved around to 10 different camps. Vietcong gave McCain the option to go home then, as his father was an Admiral....McCain refused, until men who were captured before he was went home first. 3 men were picked to go home, and then the VC totally beat McCain for his refusal. Mr Galanti talked of the definition of traitor....He said the dictionary "defined it as someone giving aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war." Galanti feels Kerry did that, and should apologize to the POW's and Vets who are still alive. Also, he feels there is evidence that the KGB from Russia was behind the anti-war movement, part of which was the Students for Democratic Action group.
