Well, sadly I think they are right. Health care costs have gone up astronomically, the rise has slowed a lot during the Bush administration but its still WAY up there. The reasons are many, not the least of which is attorneys like JOHN EDWARDS, but the fact remains it is way too high. Yet, many people in the health care field are not that well paid. Example, my wife has a BSN degree besides being a RN, YET, when I retired 13 years ago my wifes salary was LESS then I paid my secretary who had a H.S. education and a year or so of Secretarial School and couple years experience (my wife had 15 years experience at the time). Somehow, I think the risks and work of a Nurse outweigh that of a Secretary not even considering the education differences. Even Drs. unless they are in one of the spectacular specialties dont make nearly as much as you would expect. Someone is getting all that money, just dont know WHO. jdn
