According to this report, 61% of journalists saw themselves "leaning liberal/Democratic"; 15% "leaning conservative/Republican" with the rest presumably independent.......24%. mrc.org And this report claims that in 1996, 89% of journalists voted for Clinton: fact-index.com It would seem your 50% independent is a bit off. From where did you get that number? The RNC's voting guide for FLA? Therefore, maybe when people say they are independent, they really are independent. What a concept!
