Don't be so sure.

Remember that Gore's drug use aroused nearly the same level of passion that we're seeing with the Swifties, yet ultimately was not as significant as the passion would suggest.

It's a long campaign, and there are many things that could happen to influence the result. For starters, Kerry could make a Checkers type speech that might take the wind out of the Swfities' issue. I see the possible beginning of such a tactic in Kerry's phone call to Brant.
