Lindy, But the great majority of them, including the authors, did not serve with Kerry.

You still using that line? Kerry gave it up when he found Rood this weekend, an officer who was never even in the Swift boat command, but was along as a passenger on one of boats behind him during the Silver Star episode. He never even was in the unit, and spent just a few days with him. Now that he is on Kerry's side, anybody that was in Nam and will testify for him is fine.

I just posted that Kerry called one of the Swift Boat officers Sunday, a man who shared a hootch with him and put him back to bed when he was sleepwalking.

You have an MBA. I used to be a Headhunter. We both know when you check references that you want to talk to the guy's peers and superiors, not his employees. That is who these guys are. They worked, ate, drank, and slept with him for four months. Two of the grunts on the boat who are on his side and spoke at the convention were with him for two weeks and six days, respectively. Alston is the 6 day guy. They left him out of the lineup last week after that came out. He was the one that made the biggest speech for him at the convention.

The one that was with him longest, two months, is with the swifties. So is EVERY ONE of his superior officers in the Command. Think about that. What would you think of a prospective employee who was disliked by all his bosses?

steven gardner, who Was on kerry's boat, has been on tv several times that i have been watching. he is the one who tells us in no uncertain terms that kerry was not in cambodia in december or january. he is also the one who tells of the january 20, 1969, sampan incident where a man and a small boy were killed.

KT, It has been pointed out, many times, that the Swift Boats worked in packs, and were within just a few yards of each other on missions. Even though those guys were not in the same boat with Kerry, they had a ring side seat to the action, and observed every misdeed that he did.

Trying to say they didn't serve with him, is like an ostrich hiding his head in the sand.
