It turns out the sad sack now admits he was not present for any of the events that resulted in Kerry receiving a medal.

He was on Kerry's boat for two months, the longest of any of the crew, and nothing he has said has been refuted. Links, please?

his main role has been the clear info he provided that kerry was never, ever in cambodia. gardner was on kerry's boat all december and most, if not all, of january. cambodia had nothing to do with medals, but kerry used that cambodia bs to fool a lot of people and to get his way over the next 30+ years. that kind of bald-faced lie by kerry is what gardner contributes mostly to the the fray.

it seems you think the cambodia tale is no big deal. if i knew you and i found out such a thing about you 30 years later, i would first think you were mental. then i would never trust you with anything important that i could not easily verify. such a lie is not a first amendment right.

The silliest thing about the Cambodia story is that Kerry has a secret compartment in his briefcase where he keeps a hat which he says was given to him by a CIA agent he took into Cambodia on a secret mission.

He showed it to a reporter for the Washington Post last year. She wrote that he put the hat on, and made his fingers into a gun shape, and said "pow!"

If this is all faked, and there is no independent confirmation whatsoever that it happened, he's just too damned weird for words.

More evidence. Kerry featured this photo on his web site as his "band of Brothers" for a year. "A picture is worth a thousand words."
