Its fair game? To take a war hero to task when he has several medals to prove his heroism? Sure. When he makes his 4 month tour a central theme of his campaign, of course it's fair game. Just like Hillary became fair game in the Clinton campaign when he called her out to remake healthcare. She was not just a possible first lady then and was part of the debate. I would much prefer to talk about Kerry's Senate record than vietnam, but he doesn't seem to want to. He likes to parade around the guy he saved etc. May be in some alternative universe but not the one I occupy! In your universe as well. Bush's military record is fair game, but not Kerry? You've been harping about AWOL etc for a long time. Is there some twisted rule in your mind that makes it ok in your universe to allow it against Bush, but not Kerry? Some number of medals perhaps, or maybe ribbons? What if you throw the medals, er ribbons away? Probably the same rule that makes moveon.org ok but not the swift boat guys. They accused Dole of lying about his military record? They tried to make him out to be less of a hero. Nobody is claiming Kerry is lying about his military record. He has the purple hearts, that's a fact. The question is in how he got them. Brian
