Threads seem to have lives of their own. People change, and go on to new interests. I still marvel at how much people I used to like have changed since the 2000 election, 9/11, the Iraq war, and now the 2004 election. There are people I used to talk with on the phone regularly that I now have on permanent Ignore. As for Kumar - saying he is being a "bit of an idiot" is a compliment, especially since he told me "GFY". Backhanded, true, but still, there are plenty of people about whom I would rather not say what I think. I just quit arguing with people I have no use for.
