Chinu,

I think you and CR should do just what you want wrt moderating people off. It's your thread.

The issue has absolutely nothing to do with free speech, as everyone knows. Those folks are whining their asses off about the issue elsewhere. -g

If, as I gather, you're sick and tired of the Swift Vet issue, it's entirely within your rights to say "let's move on". Any actively-moderated thread is going to be complained about. Ask Faultline. He gets this all the time on the Foreign Affairs thread.

I suggest to you that if you are being bombarded by PM's from certain complainers, they are continuing to do *privately* what you will not allow them to do publicly: interrupt the flow of conversation that you have worked hard to establish here.

My advice is to put them on PM ignore.

The SmearVets have been completely discredited and my inclination is to move on. But occasionally new information becomes available, like another veteran who was actually there supporting Kerry or information showing that a certain SmearVet signed a false affidavit. That is worth posting - just more nails in the coffin.

Otherwise, I'm ready to move on.
