How do these myths get started? Its in their best interest to create these myths. In fact, some have turned into urban legends. You've heard about the one where the rich family can no longer afford their mansion and have to open it up for tours so they can pay off the taxes. They don't get rich off the tours but they seem to be happy. They still dress up in their finest, somewhat dated clothing and maintain a tough upper lip. Its really quite a pleasant, humanistic story. As I type this post, tears are coming to my eyes! ted
