That was reported on NBC Olympic coverage, and the source was drudgereport.com . It's too bad NBC can't even keep its political views out of Olympic coverage.

I watched "Meet the Press" this Sunday and Bush-Cheney campaign manager who was a guest on the show was asked if Bush was planning to go and the campaign manager denied it. I found it strange that Bush was even thinking of going there and I wondered why?

There is a commercial being aired by the GOP that the Olympic Committee is asking them to pull.

Apparently the GOP won't pull it cause it didn't use the five rings and claims it isn't trying to sell anything which would be in violation of the organizing rules.

I think it's trying to sell a political agenda and using the Olympics to help send the message. But, that's only my biased opinion.

It claims there are more democracies today than 20 years ago
and it is definitely trying to get support for the war agenda.
