He certainly needs to resolve that issue. He should talk about it, and just say what he might do differently if he had a chance to do it all over again. Then drop the issue..

What does Kerry have to apologize about? Some of his words were rash, and he's already said he regrets some of them. But, the content was sound. He was trying to get the troops back from an unwinnable and immoral war. He'd had friends killed, too, like Don Droz (who could today corroborate Kerry's side of the story if he hadn't been killed). He'd seen the toll of war, and as a patriot, did what he could to get America back on the right track.

Meanwhile, Bush was ducking physicals, being removed from active duty, and killing a few soldiers of his own...

Kerry knows diplomacy? Bush doesn't. Bush called the head of NK a 'pygmy' and thinks it's funny?

Kerry has the courage and decency to reach out. Bush, OTOH, has to be kept in climate controlled environments just in case he opens his stupid mouth again.
