I agree with you that the Smearvets are doing basically that...smearing Kerry. So many lies have been told that it isn't funny any more. They have no credibility with anyone that thinks about it. And so when they loose all credibility, it is a signal to move on to other topics. But there are some who constantly carry a personal vendetta and obstruct discussion of any other topic. That nuisance then needs to be stopped. That is when they cross the line of freedom of speech into the teriitory where it encraoches on the right of others to go about their own business.
