What does Max Cleland have to do with this? Max Cleland lost his limbs in an accident. He's never pretended to be a war hero, as far as I know.

Same thing Dole said about one of his purple hearts.

The devils in the details, KT. Dole was under enemy fire at the time. That qualifies. Max Cleland was not. His loss of limbs happened in a back area. It was an accident, not a war wound.
