all i'm saying is that i think the GOP is shooting itself in the foot... more "average" americans now know that kerry got medals... and that's all they will be likely to remember when the dust settles. how he got them, why he got them, and whether or not he was in cambodia during xmas are just details that get lost in the shuffle. these things are just not relevant today (exaggeration is not a serious crime in most people's mind).

that being said, i think people would be impacted by hearing about kerry's involvement in the anti-war movement, because i don't think that the middle-grounders believe that pulling out of iraq would be smart. i also think that the GOP should go on the attack with respect to Kerry's senate record (or lack thereof).
