What is really sad is in my lifetime Reagan is the only President I voted for because I really wanted him. The rest have been votes against the other guy. Who will do the least harm kind of deal. The process of tearing apart every little portion of someones life in order to elect them keeps many highly qualified candidates from even considering the job. In fact I think someone needs to be almost mentally ill to want the job with the gauntlet you need to navigate in order to be elected especially if your a Republican.
