Expect another month of weak hiring in August. Expect John Kerry to remind us this is the only President to have net job loss since Herbert Hoover.

Didn't you get the memo? 9/11 allows Bush to do anything he pleases, including, but not limited to:

1) Throwing all sense of fiscal responsibility out the window.

2) Destroying alliances with the UN and other nations.

3) Wrecking US credibility on human rights issues forever.

4) Dissolving protections guaranteed by the Constitution.

5) Abdicating all responsibility to our troops, breaking long established protocols on service, and placing our troops in unnecessary danger, without adequate equipment or training.

The game changed! It's the new No Fault Presidency! New and Improved! Well, come to think of it, kind of harkens back to the days of the dictators of Rome, but what the hey!

"Actually Bush used the SS surplus to justify his catastrophic tax cuts."

That is also true but only part of the truth. The $1 trillion tax cut for the super super riche (as Buffett calls it) amounts to approx. $100 million per years.

The largest part of the deficit for 2003 and 2004 has been the Iraq War, $200 billion, and the $17 billion in welfare to Israel in 2003 and the still unknown total for 2004.
Since the illegal Iraq war was fought by Bush primarily to win favor with the Jewish-American power structure for his re-election, we can add the total part of the deficit for Israel/Judaism as appox. $220 billion.

In other words, something like 50% of Bush's irresponisble deficit was spent for the Jewish state ( the Judaism's religious project in Palestine.)

Bush and Congress are robbing the elderly by stealing their SS Trust Fund and siphoning it off to Israel.
