It is free to do that, "should" doesn't come into it. Are you suggesting the US try to punish Israel if it launches a pre-emptive attack? Last thing we need to to involve ourselves even deeper into that mess.

Yes and i answered your question thoughtfully same as i would if US had to use a nuke to take out an al quaeda wmd location that was about to launch some martian concoction at us. mike
