Completely different set of circumstances than Bush... Yes, Bush asked for a transfer so that he could continue fulfilling his duties as a member of the National Guard while helping someone else run for office and actually did complete his service obligation. Kerry, OTOH, asked to be excused from his eight remaining months of duty so that he could run for congress himself and then proceeded to slander and libel his former fellows in uniform, go to Paris to meet with the enemy while still an officer in the Naval Reserves, and provide the enemy with propaganda material to use against American POWs. You're right - COMPLETELY different set of circumstances.
