Interestingly enough, so did "Atkins". This seems to me to be the cutting edge, and I've yet to see it refuted:

Of course, most Americans don't come close to eating a diet acceptable to ANY reasonable recommendation, so this would be pie in the sky for them.

Under D'Amado's theory you'd be blood type A if you're doing real well on a Vegetarian diet... so please do tell!
