The book royalties pale in comparison to his future rewards as a Republican celebrity.

I don't know your reasons, but you fail to understand this guy. He has not political since the end of the 71 debate with Kerry. His kids didn't even know he had debated with Kerry until it showed up on CSPAN. He voted for Perot in 92 and 96, and Gore in 2000.

Would you like to go out and take the shit this man is enduring? He is on a mission for his "band of brothers." They are united by there dislike of what Kerry did during his antiwar activities.

When they got together this spring, with Kerry's books and after action reports, they started comparing notes and found out what he had pulled in Nam. The original plan was just to protest Kerry's anti-war activities. When the rest became plain, O'Neil set out to research and write this book.

Now Kerry's world is falling apart around him. He begged for this with his "reporting for duty" speech at the convention.

When this is over, we will never hear from O'Neil again. Hey, the Republicans would run him for Governor of Texas if he would take it! He won't.
