That's nice. Your guy can lie about his 4 months' military service, refuse to discuss his 20 year Senate record, and still, it is all just "marketing".

You guys are really weak.

Al, You have no proof that Kerry did this...isn't it a sin to lie?

I thought I had made it clear that how Kerry got those Purple Hearts isn't very relevant in my view. If he did, so what? Given the circumstances of war, I can't say that I wouldn't have done the same.

Marketing...because in a political campaign in which bush is running as an unflinching, macho war man, Kerry needs to come through as strong on defense. Nothing more than how bush sold himself as a compassionate conservative who would not do nation building or be arrogant on the international stage. MArketing for fools, which is a large slice of the electorate.

Exactly, Al. It's all an act made to convince the "fools" as you say.

The only problem is that the only fools that are convinced by Kerry playing the "dutiful soldier" aren't the ones that needed to be convinced in the first place. After all, I'm pretty sure even if it can be proven that Kerry lied about his medals that his poll numbers aren't going to drop all that much.
