I doubt that ads can really make that much of a difference Doubt if it is the ads. It is the 1 minute bites on ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN which are taken from or reflect what the ads say. Many people still watch rather, jennings etc. (and think they are wonderful). Insofaras the focus group thing goes. The democrats have always used the accusation technique. For two reasons - IMO, it sells with the unenlightened and the republicans have yet to show any balls when these charges surface. Reagan is the only guy in recent memory who kept the democrats at bay. Since him, it has been 120% PC for the republicans. I will never understand why.
