Right. If it draws blood and you're under enemy fire. There are serious questions as to whether Kerry was under "enemy fire" on the first PH. I don't know, but we ought to find out if this is the centerpiece of his campaign.

As to the dates of his two tours, I think the four months isn't in question. His book, Tour of Duty, states that he put in five months in '67 on the frigate USS Gridley with a brief stop in Vietnam. Giving him a month leaway, that seems like six months. I'm no expert on the subject, that's just what the book says.
