You didn't point out problems very well, none the less, I agree it was not the warriers who lost the war. Nearly all wars are decided fairly quickly. It's not always apparent at the time, but it becomes so later. The Vietnam war was lost in Dien Bien Fu in 1954.

It became apparent only later. By 1968 it was apparent to most Americans, but some never accepted reality.
