What I am wondering is what has compelled Mr. Ginsberg to resign but the two lawyers in a similar situation on the Kerry side are sitting pretty. Where is the pressure to the Bush campaign coming from? Is the Bush campaign trying to pre-empt a backlash?

There is a group of agencies that works with conservative groups, and a group of agencies that works with liberal groups. That's no news.

Do you think any of the agencies working on the Kerry campaign would have produced an ad for the Swift Boat Veterans? Of course not.

The same people give money to conservative 527s and Bush. The same people give moneyu to liberal 527s and Kerry.

Which proves exactly nothing.

I expect that if I bothered to look I could easily find a bunch of ties between, say, MoveOn and the agencies/top strategists for the Kerry campaign. But I don't intend to bother to look because if I found the evidence, so what?

National politics is actually a pretty amall world. Conservatives run with conservatives, liberals run with liberals, I'm not running with anybody.

Good night, David.
