None of that changes the basic position. The TV Ad, which is an excerpt of his Senate Testimony, distorts what he actually said in the Senate Testimony. That makes the Ad dishonest. I know that Kerry later said that free fire zones, interdiction fire etc were forms of atrocities because they violated the Geneva Convention but that was a criticism of the political and military leaders, not the individual soliders. Kerry never criticized the soldiers.
