Me Oh My! You don't even know where Windsor is! (Are you kidding?) But that's OK. That's not as bad as the American woman who could not answer the question, "Who was the first president of America?" in a TV show. Windsor (Ontario) is just next door from Detroit (Michigan) and is accessible over the bridge from Detroit (or from under a 'leaky' or 'drippy' tunnel.) Quebec lies north across its common border with New York State. The western boundary of Quebec is at least about 550 miles from Windsor/Detroit as the eagle flies. Perhaps you might say, "Who cares!" But believe me, lots of Americans do care. They flock into Windsor to gamble at the casino and "play" and have "fun" with some super-hot lovely chicks from Quebec. They love Montreal too for the same reasons. But why those chicks? Go ask the men! Ever wonder why there is steady trafficking of white babies from Montreal for adoption by Americans and others elsewhere. A lot of folks don't mind the babies' frenchy origin at all! See, not all Americans are like you. It's just plain ignorance and prejudice (or was it knee-jerk reaction?) that has made lots of Americans dislike/hate the French and Frenchy things. Simply because France refused to go with the US to the Iraq quagmire or put its head in a meatgrinder, lots of Americans condemned the French for being ungrateful and treacherous and whatnot. In WWII, French underground resistance fighters helped provide vital info/data that helped the Allies in the so-called "liberation" of Europe and saved the lives of many American soldiers. Those URFs were the unsung heroes of the war. By the way, France has made important contributions to the arts and sciences and haute cuisine . In advanced mathematics, French mathematicians have, for example, in the 18th and 19th centuries, left a very important legacy of Differential Equations that is responsible for many advances in physics and engineering today. I suppose you are knocking French because 1. John Kerry has studied French and he can speak it well? 2. Jean Chretien (former Prime Minister of Canada who is French-Canadian) said that it was the US that had brought 9/11 on it head and, during his term, a couple of French-Canadian have called Bush a "moron"? 3. Paul Martin (current PM of Canada) and an Anglo-Canadian speaks French? But he has to as Canada is a bilingual country. ===================== PS. Me an Alzheimer victim? You must be hallucinating again, kidoo! Otherwise, you are being so very funny! LOL! Thanks a lot! Have a nice one!
