Kirk, Without that one significant data point, your judgment on compensation is based upon an incomplete analysis.

Normally a writer's job is to provide all the data points and analysis.

My post specifically responded to your enron/lay stock option comparison to cisco, which was a thinly veiled attack on compensation, yet your judgment on compensation here lacked the key data points on compensation. You put yourself out on a limb, when you make a judgment on compensation, without providing the data and full picture on compensation.

If cisco is over-compensating during a downturn, that has value to me. But an opinion without supporting data, doesn't.
