<Christian fundamentalism does not constitute the same kind of threat. There is not such radical incompatibility with the modern world. There are only a handful of issues that are particularly contentious.> Really? We could argue about the threat level -- there are people who believe that the US is a greater threat than any other in the world because of it. But no matter, the point is the same -- why should we expect Islamic society to move forward while we are moving backward toward Christian fundamantalism?
