That IS funny. I can't see Bush agreeing to a weekly debate. His record is too sour for that...

Yep. Whenever they start asking for "more debates" it means the internal polling is a disaster beyond repair. The answer from Bush is boilerplate: "He needs to settle the debate with HIMSELF first". It confirms what I suspected watching Rove last night: He's looking concerned and saying they are hoping to pull ahead, etc., etc. and you could see the canary feathers around the sides of his mouth. He a true pro-resisting the urge to jump nine feet in the air and shout "KERRY'S TOAST!"-but it's obvious that that's the bottom line...
