You use the expression "proof Kerry lied" as frequently as Bush used the phrase "We have proof Saddam has WMD." In both cases the "proof" is in your respective minds and not in the facts. From the time wars were fought with sticks and stones commanders wrote reports. If, Kerry didn't write reports there wouldn't BE any reports. Who would write them? With respect to medals, the reports were corraborated with other reports obtained by Kerry's commanding officer. Rassman, for example, nominated Kerry for a Silver Star and his account was consistent with Kerry's. In your frenzied jumping to false conclusions you completely missed an interesting comment where Kerry told the committee that his reports were often inflated AFTER he submitted them - what he read later in the Stars and Stripes was not what he wrote. Perhaps that bit of honesty ticked off Hoffman more so than anything else? I often read about my own missions in the Stars and Stripes and the very mission we had been on had been doubled in figures and tripled in figures.
