Laz, Are you forgetting the Southern California coastal communities such as Pacific Palisades, Palos Verdes, Laguna, Laguna Niguel, La Jolla, et cetera? The inland communities, such as Holmby Hills, Bel Air, even Beverly Hills? And that's just in the Southland.

Moving to the North, we have discussed Rossmoor in Contra Costa County. In fact, I would say the majority of CoCo County will vote conservative. There are a lot of people in CoCo County. Despite the palaverings of the mainstream press, and others, I am sure there are registered Republicans even in Santa Cruz and in Berkeley--maybe even in The Gulch.

Here's an interesting map for California, relating to a campaign you worked on as a young Neofasci... er, ummm, Conservative:

uselectionatlas.org

Barry Goldwater carried only five counties in California: Orange, San Diego, Alpine (in which only 215 people voted in total -- talk about sparsely populated), Mono (only 1,500 votes total), and Sutter (14,000 total votes cast). Barry got only 50.3% of the vote in San Diego County. The only county with people in it that he won comfortably was Orange, by a 55-44 margin. Bush won both Orange and San Diego county by a wider margin than conservative Goldwater, and won dozens of other counties in the South besides.
