I thought it was at least closer to 50/50 than that. I know several people in Contra Costa (mostly in Walnut Creek and Danville areas), and more are conservative than liberal, but since it's a small sample I try not to rely on it.

That site is a treasure trove of data on voting trends in Presidential elections.
