Federal revenue grows even when tax rates do not, and also reduced spending or even a reduction in the rate of spending growth will save money. Unfortunately I think spending is likely to grow strongly under either Bush or Kerry.

Federal revenue also decreases when tax rates stay flat; it's a two way street. And if you subscribe to Voodoo trickle down, you ought to look at the poverty figures released yesterday.

No, Bush has guaranteed higher taxes. It's just a matter of when we get a President in office that has some fiscal discipline, who thinks about the future in terms of what's good for the country instead of his next election.
