Lambert backs Kerry - Boats were under fire - Thurlow too busy with rescue effort to realize this.

Last night I listened to Kerry's 1971 testimony to Congress. Among the things he bitched about poor planning and execution of battles, like being sent to take a hill that two days later was abandoned.

I've read military history about events over many decades -- the soldiers always think they know more than the officers and maybe that's even true. At any rate, Iraq isn't unique for that. And Kerry voted FOR the Iraq war.

Kerry is a senator, it was his duty under the Constitution to decide whether the country went to war, and that's what he decided.
