Not a single SmearVet claim is true. That's now proven, but of course the rightwing media still continues making the claims 24/7 as they are true. Pols show some 40% of Americans believe Kerry lied about his service record. Thnis is called Soviet style brainwashing propaganda. I was just on vacation in rural America and was astounded that there is constant bombardment on talk radio that SmearVet lies are true. They see it helping Bush turn off unhappy swing-voters and hoodwink a few percent of them which may be the margin of victory, therefore, the BIG LIE is Bush's only hope and once again he promotes that LYING WORKS. Very bad for America. However thre is still hope. Now that the mainstream honest press has given Bushies every chance to prove that Kerry did something wrong and they have failed, this will gradually reverse itself, much like the BIG LIE that Saddam was an imminent threat with nuclear weapons, that Bush's tax cuts benefit all Americans and that Bush has reformed Medicare. Basically you have an AWOL BUSH professional liar pulling even or slightly ahead by slandering a hero's war record. Watch for even more big whoppers this coming week and going forward. They did is to McCain in 2000 but it won't work again. However the election will be very close. Per the polls right now, in electoral votes it is a 270-270 tie with Colorado being the state that decides it. Of course that will change.
