My curious side won and I installed SP2 from windows update last night. So far, everything is fine. I'm not noticing any slowdown like I did with he full version install that I did a couple of weeks ago.

That post you referred to is me on IHUB. Still running great, the best upgrade ever from M/S in my opinion. I have upgraded thru all versions since 3.1. Remember those "Blue" screens, thank goodness no more.
