The problem is that they aren't debates at all. Bush prepared well for the non-debates, but Gore was under the ridiculous illusion that they were going to have an actual debate.

The way to play the debates is to ignore the question and get your (short) message out over and over again.

The moderators are too ch*****sh*t to hold the candidates' feet to the fire.
