Sure, OK... but ignoring facts isn't going to help. (There are few enough periods of fiscal restraint post-WW II... that it's not hard to separate out the unique factor that seems to distinguish them the most: divided government.) If you wish to continue to believe that either of these Parties is going to fix the deficits, and restore fiscal prudence to government all on their own --- well, I wish you LUCK, I really do! I live here too, and I'd like to believe their words... but, unfortunately, their actions speak much louder. The Parties' power needs to be RESTRAINED... and that only happens when they nearly balance each other off....
