Hackworth is wrong again. If Islamic fundamentalists are busy in Iraq & Afghanistan, it gives them far less time to be planning another Sept 11 on mainland USA. We have two choices. We can fight them there or wait for them to come after us at home. I've seen Hackworth recently as a TV guest...his arguments were far from convincing. More importantly, his attitude does not match that of returning U.S. soldiers who say the Iraqi people for the most part are grateful to them & are thrilled to be free of Saddam Hussein. They also state that the insurgents are only in pockets around the country. Most Iraqis support the interim gov & show their appreciation to our soldiers. Maybe Hackworth needs to visit Iraq to see it with his own eyes.
