"If you think you can ensure the gridlock solution, more power to you. It seems to me you are just as much counting on people agreeing with you, in the long run....' Actually, with the razzor-edge balance between the Parties nationally ('Red/Blue', etc.), and the VERY NATURAL PROPENSITY for any Party in power to lose a little when next up to bat (Re: the turn to a Republican House in Clinton's by-election, etc., etc.) I think the Odds are FAR GREATER for divided government (then for any 'sentiment change' that would vote out all the deficit-spenders in Washington --- especially since Congressional reelection rates hover around 95%!)
