Ted, now I know why Paul Hamm was P.O.'d about the whole judging controversy. Some in the IOC must have approached him privately, asking him to relinquish his gold medal.

And naturally, Paul said, "Nuts!"

Yang, the bronze medalist, was wrongly docked a tenth of a point on his parallel bars routine. If he had received the proper score, he would have won gold and Hamm would have won silver.

That says it all.
Keeping the gold would be an empty gesture now that the world knows the results.
